Inorganic Chemistry: Synthesis of Platinum Complexes

The synthesis is done!!! My last post of the semester!!!

This semester I have learned so many things and thanks to that I can say that this was a fantastic experience. At the beginning it was very hard but now is a very different thing. I will like to thanks my research mentor, Dr. Mayra Cádiz, because she was always there for me and she trusted me this difficult work and to my lab partner, Magdelisse, that helped me in some many things and never doubted of my work.

The synthesis is done but now is the time to know what effects would have in the plasmid DNA. This semester we could not make it because we did not have the plasmid DNA but I have faith that the next semester our investigation will be based on that.

The only thing I could wish is to do the same synthesis but with the K2PtCl4 to save K[Pt(NH3)Cl3] which is very expensive and see if the created synthesis cis-Pt(NH3)Cl2-[benzothiazole] is effective on cancer cells.
